Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German film and television actress famous for her performance in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. Alexandra began her career in showbiz at a young age. She played lead roles in dramas on television as young as 16 years old. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall the role she played as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudljunge was also critically acclaimed. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also Oscar-nominated. Alexandra is engaged in numerous noteworthy projects, both in the United States and internationally. Some of these include the British biographical film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many others. In addition, she was a member of the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
